Amy Howard, Human Services Coordinator.Â
Amy is a 20+ year resident of SWFL and has 18+ years of experience in Emergency Management. Amy is professionally certified through the Florida Emergency Preparedness Association (FEPA). She is responsible for managing the special needs shelter program, including coordinating with local healthcare partners to care for the most vulnerable in our population. She is also responsible for reviewing the comprehensive emergency management plans for the seventy-seven healthcare facilities in Collier County. During the activation of the Emergency Operations Center (EOC), Amy manages the special needs call center. She provides call-taker training for the various county personnel who work in that capacity. Amy brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in all phases of emergency management, from preparedness to response. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Public Safety Administration from St. Petersburg College.
Josh Starrett, Volunteer Agency and Recovery Coordinator
Josh is a Coast Guard veteran with a unique background of experience that brings a fresh perspective to Collier County EM. Prior to his service, Josh received a bachelor’s degree in Business from Metropolitan State College of Denver. After graduating, he moved to Pittsburgh, PA where he served as a volunteer fire fighter and EMT. Josh then joined the U.S. Coast Guard and served four years along the Atlantic coast. In 2019, Josh earned his master’s degree from the University of Denver in Security Management with an emphasis on Emergency Planning and Response. Upon graduating, he went on to work for the Red Cross providing support in both Services to Armed Forces and Disaster Cycles Services. Josh has also been a member of the Denver LEPC and the Denver Emergency Planning committee as well as the policy maker for the Denver Zoo’s emergency plan.Please let me know

Each member is expected to make an on-line reservation for attendance prior to each month’s meeting. Reservations will close at 11:59pm on the Thursday before any given meeting.
Reservation requests made after this deadline must be made to the Membership Committee Chairperson via email, which may be done through the Naples Interagency Council website (www.naplesinteragency.com). Requests will be honored providing seating is available.
Any member who arrives without a reservation, space permitted, shall be charged a fee of $15 (crasher fee)
Cancellation/No Show Policy
If a registered member discovers they are unable to attend the meeting, that member is required to email the Membership Committee Chairperson explaining the reason for cancellation. That member maybe subject to a $15 late notification fee pending Board review. Registered members that fail to attend the monthly membership meeting will be charged the $15 no show fee.

Annual NIC Membership is from calendar year of January 1st through December 31st. Annual dues are $75 and payable by January 15th. Individuals joining after June 30th will be charged a reduced membership fee along with the follow year’s membership dues of $115. Individuals joining after October 31st will be charged a reduced membership fee of $100.
